How should I approach this one, I’m not talking about a lawyer, but this may come later!
I’m in a small town, and like any other small town, we have our share of crime,
just last week in broad daylight my 3 ft statues were taken right out of my yard; I was pissed, sorry!
We had this beautiful stone pixie statue for years; why would anyone be so brazen during the daytime?
I hate to say this, but we have had bad, broken, and evil people out there, just to let you know.
Now you would say to yourself sorry about your luck, the funny thing is it could happen to you!
This story doesn’t end here. it just so happens that I had a surveillance camera on hand, and I managed to catch two young men, thugs, jerks, whatever you want to call them, taking off with the statue. Whenever I reviewed the footage and found out what happened, I contacted the authorities and managed to retrieve our statue that has been so dear to us. However, I’m thankful I had a security camera to help figure out the appearance of the two men, and to provide solid evidence for my case. The main thing to take from all of this is that crime happens everywhere. Whether it be a large city, small town, or even out in the country, crime still occurs. My personal story, however, still doesn’t compare to other crimes that could potentially happen. The two men could have done more than just steal our statue. This is why I make self-defense, in all aspects, my number one priority. It’s easy to get caught up in the motions of living everyday without one thing happening to you, but when something does happen, you’re going to wish you had some form of defense. If I were to put a quote to sum up this article, it would be, “A good defense is a good offense…”.
